The waves of time

Badlands are a unique demonstration of the power of geological time and of the beauty we can witness on our planet.

Within these formations, rocks of different origins, ages, and microfossils are intertwined.

Over thousands of years, the ridges have been shaped by the action of water and wind.

In certain particular conditions, surface layers of minerals emerge and, depending on the light,

give rise to distinctive chromatic nuances.

By means of aerial photography of these landscapes,

the succession of wedges and blades of clay creates a striking effect reminiscent of ocean waves,

thus revealing the power and beauty of geological form.
